For this Quiz  you need to learn:

Using English articles can be very difficult as sometimes the use is not obvious. The best way to learn how to use them is to practice through examples. However, below you will find a simple explanation of how to use articles.

Articles are used before nouns.

The = specific things/ singular or plural.

Example (singular) : Please pass me the red cup. (Not the blue cup, but specifically the red one).

Example (plural): Pass me the two biggest rolls. (Not the small ones).

A = non specific/ singular.

Example: please pass me a towel. (Any towel is fine).

No article is used when it’s non specific/plural.

Example: This week I received loads of bills. (the specific bill type (electricity etc), is not important so you could use (A) but because it is plural you don’t use anything.

Grammar: Articles A/The.
